Former Homeland Security Official Accuses Trump Administration of Obstructing Visa Processing for US Allies

Olivia Troye Alleges Racism in the Trump Administration’s Handling of Afghan Allies’ Visa Requests

Olivia Troye, a former White House Homeland Security official, has publicly accused the Trump administration of deliberately obstructing the processing of visas for US allies in Afghanistan. In a series of tweets, Troye criticized the administration for its handling of Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applications, alleging that the actions were driven by racism.

Troye, who served as an aide to former Vice President Mike Pence, described how Stephen Miller, a senior aide to then-President Donald Trump, would frequently bring up “racist hysteria” about Iraq and Afghanistan during cabinet meetings. She claimed Miller undermined efforts by others within the administration to resolve the visa issue, leaving Afghan allies who had supported the US mission in jeopardy.
