Spotify Reveals 2021’s Most-Streamed Music, Led by Bad Bunny

Puerto Rican Star Tops Global Charts, Setting Records on Spotify Wrapped

Spotify has unveiled its highly anticipated annual statistics, showcasing the most popular albums, songs, and artists of the past year. Spotify Wrapped 2021, released on December 1, gives individual users insights into their own listening patterns while also highlighting the key trends that shaped the platform over the past 12 months.

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny topped the list as Spotify’s most-streamed artist worldwide in 2021, amassing over 9.1 billion streams. This milestone follows his success at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards, where he received 10 awards, including Artist of the Year. In August, he collaborated with Aventura on the single “Volví,” and in October, he released “Lo Siento BB:/” with Tainy and Julieta Venegas. Bad Bunny’s achievements continued at the Latin Grammy Awards in November, where he won Best Urban Music Album for El Último Tour Del Mundo and Best Rap/Hip Hop Song for his hit “Booker T.”
