Origi’s Late Strike Seals Liverpool Victory Over Wolves

Super-Sub Strikes Again in the 94th Minute to Break Deadlock

Divock Origi delivered yet another dramatic finish for Liverpool, scoring in the 94th minute to turn a likely draw into a victory against Wolves. While it may not surpass his iconic Champions League goal, this late winner reaffirms his reputation as Liverpool’s modern-day “super-sub.”

Although Mohamed Salah didn’t add to his goal tally, he played a crucial role by setting up Origi with a precise low cross. Origi spun and fired, netting his second league goal this season and extending Liverpool’s streak to 29 consecutive games with at least one goal. Wolves, who nearly held Liverpool scoreless, join Real Madrid as the only teams recently able to limit Liverpool’s high-scoring offense—though Wolves stand alone in conceding just one goal in the Reds’ last 19 matches.
