Adrian Onciu’s Claims on Pfizer and Ursula von der Leyen Find a Platform in Kremlin-Linked Media
Adrian Onciu, a Romanian journalist, faced significant challenges in finding a publication willing to publish his controversial coronavirus vaccine stories. His reports claimed dubious links between European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer, as well as alleged schemes by U.S. officials and companies to manipulate the media for the benefit of the pharmaceutical industry. Despite these serious allegations, Onciu’s pieces were rejected by nearly every news outlet in Romania, even by a website that recently published an article about chewing gums purported to ward off COVID.
Lacking documentary evidence to support his claims, Onciu eventually found a platform to publish his work—Russia’s state-run Sputnik news service. Sputnik, often regarded as a mouthpiece for the Kremlin, not only published his allegations but also promoted the series on its website, drawing attention to the controversial claims.
