Monkeys Escape After Truck Crash in Pennsylvania, Authorities Search for Three

A Truck Collision Leads to Search for Escaped Monkeys En Route to Lab

A truck carrying approximately 100 monkeys crashed Friday in Montour County, Pennsylvania, causing at least three of the animals to escape. The crash occurred when the truck collided with a dump truck in the afternoon. The truck was en route to a laboratory, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Authorities have launched a search for the escaped monkeys and have asked residents to report any sightings to the police at 570-524-2662.

It remains unclear whether any humans or animals sustained injuries in the crash.
