British Foreign Secretary Warns of Wider Threat Beyond Ukraine

Concerns Rise Over Potential Spillover of Russian Military Actions in Eastern Europe

The British foreign secretary has issued a warning that Russian military actions, feared by Western leaders to risk escalating into broader conflict, might extend beyond Ukraine. With an estimated 130,000 Russian troops gathered near the Ukrainian border under Kremlin directives, Liz Truss highlighted the potential repercussions of an invasion, framing it as an “attack” on the larger region. In an interview with Sky News, Truss remarked that Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously questioned NATO membership for several eastern European nations, suggesting that the aggression might not stop at Ukraine.
