Truckers Launch Cross-Country Drive to Protest Coronavirus Mandates

Convoy Begins Journey from California to D.C. as Drivers Rally for Freedom

A small group of truckers demanding an end to coronavirus mandates set off on a cross-country journey from California to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. The convoy began with a rally in Adelanto, a cold and windswept town in the Mojave Desert, where several hundred people gathered in support. Although it wasn’t clear how many would continue the entire journey, around two dozen trucks and additional vehicles began the drive. Event organizer and truck driver Brian Brase addressed the crowd, urging truckers worldwide to stand up for freedom. “Now is your time to usher in a renaissance of freedom,” Brase declared, encouraging others not to “bow down” to mandates.
