Jiri Prochazka Clinches Light Heavyweight Title in Thrilling UFC 275 Finale

Prochazka submits Glover Teixeira in the dying seconds to claim the UFC light heavyweight title after a fierce battle.

In a dramatic finish at UFC 275, Jiri Prochazka secured a submission victory over Glover Teixeira with less than 30 seconds left in the final round, clinching the UFC light heavyweight title. Teixeira, at 42 years old, entered Singapore’s Indoor Stadium as the second-oldest champion in UFC history, defending the title he won late the previous year.

Prochazka, in just his third UFC appearance, was seen as the rising star poised to dominate the 205lbs division. Although new to the UFC, the Czech fighter brought considerable experience from his career outside the promotion, making him a formidable challenger. His win marked a defining moment in his UFC journey and a dramatic turn in the light heavyweight division.
