On Thursday afternoon, approximately 10,000 residents in downtown Toronto were left without power following a major outage that caused a widespread blackout. Power was fully restored by 8pm, according to CBC News. Hydro One, which manages electricity supply to the province of Ontario, immediately launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fault. The company assured that it deployed all available resources to resolve the issue and restore service to affected residents.
