Over 100 Dead After Panic Strikes at Persebaya Surabaya vs Arema Malang Match

A soccer match between Persebaya Surabaya and Arema Malang turned deadly in East Java province, Indonesia, when chaos broke out following the home team’s 3-2 victory. Fights erupted among fans, and police responded with tear gas, sparking panic. In the ensuing rush to escape, over 100 people tragically lost their lives, most from being trampled. This disaster adds to the list of major crowd tragedies over the years.
