Mother of Missing Ex-Rugby Player Levi Davis Demands Review of Evidence

Calls for Police to Apply Same Effort as in High-Profile Cases Like Madeleine McCann

The mother of Levi Davis, a former rugby player and Celebrity X Factor star, has urged police to reconsider new evidence surrounding her son’s disappearance. Davis, 26, was last seen on October 29, 2022, at The Old Irish Pub in Barcelona, but after an initial investigation, the case was closed by the Mossos d’Esquadra, the city’s police force, in October 2023.

Davis’ mother criticized the handling of the case and demanded that the police apply the same level of effort they did for other high-profile disappearances like those of Jay Slater and Madeleine McCann. The case has drawn renewed attention after a Byline Times investigation uncovered significant “failings” in the Spanish authorities’ response to Davis’ disappearance.

Safeguarding minister Jess Phillips also backed calls for a thorough review of the investigation, advocating for a more coordinated approach to uncover the truth.
