London – Four individuals were attacked with an unidentified substance late at night on the University of Greenwich’s Avery Hill campus, with one victim also sustaining head injuries.

Emergency services responded shortly after midnight following reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they found a man with head injuries and three others who had been sprayed with the substance. Authorities confirmed the liquid was non-toxic, and none of the victims suffered life-threatening or life-altering injuries.

The Metropolitan Police have not yet made any arrests and stated that investigations are ongoing. A crime scene remains cordoned off as officers pursue leads to identify the perpetrator.

University Statement and Campus Impact
The university issued a statement addressing the incident, confirming the main entrance to Avery Hill campus is temporarily closed while the rest of the site remains operational. Staff, students, and visitors are being redirected to an alternative entrance, with stewards in place to assist.

The university also warned of potential delays to the campus bus service and pledged to provide updates on reopening the main entrance.

The Metropolitan Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue their inquiries into the attack.
