Singer’s Comeback Album “30” Contends for Best British Album as She Looks to Continue Her Success at the Brits
Adele will grace the stage at the 2022 Brit Awards tonight, performing her hit single “Easy On Me” ahead of the ceremony where the song is nominated for Best British Song. The singer is also up for four nominations, including Best British Album for her widely praised comeback record 30.
Adele’s journey at the Brits dates back to 2008, when she made her first appearance, joining Mark Ronson for a medley with Coldplay’s “God Put a Smile Upon Your Face” and Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie.” That same year, she became the inaugural winner of the Critic’s Choice Award, now known as the Rising Star Award. This year, 22-year-old singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone is the recipient of that prestigious honor.
Fans are particularly nostalgic about Adele’s 2011 performance at the Brits, where her solo debut performance of “Someone Like You” left a lasting impression.
