Bomb Threats Target Historically Black Colleges Across U.S.

Multiple HBCUs Lock Down in Response to Threats, FBI Investigating

At least six Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across five states and the District of Columbia were responding to bomb threats on Monday, with several campuses going into lockdown. School officials issued warnings to students, mentioning that some of the threats were aimed at academic buildings.

The FBI confirmed awareness of the situation, stating they are actively investigating the credibility of these threats in partnership with local law enforcement. “The FBI takes all potential threats seriously,” said agency spokesperson Jenna Sellitto, emphasizing their commitment to safety.
