“Communist Rally in Moscow Disrupted by Police with Loud Patriotic Music”

Communists Protest Alleged Election Fraud as Police Counter with Volume at Moscow Rally

A rally organized by the Communist Party in Moscow on Saturday afternoon saw a crowd of several hundred gather in protest against alleged election fraud. As Communist speakers, including Moscow party chief Valery Rashkin, passionately denounced the ruling United Russia party, which they branded a “gang of self-appointees,” the atmosphere grew tense.

However, the rally was significantly disrupted by the authorities, who responded with loud patriotic music blasted from loudspeakers behind the stage. Songs like “Allez, Russia!” and “Uncle Vladimir, we’re with you” drowned out the protestors’ voices, as police sought to suppress the fiery speeches. Despite the noise, the demonstrators continued to rally against what they perceived as fraudulent electoral practices.

The disruption highlights ongoing tensions in Russia, where opposition rallies often face significant state pushback.
