Defamed Election Workers Seek Giuliani’s Properties and Personal Assets

Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss aim to claim Giuliani’s homes, memorabilia, and legal fees after a defamation victory.

Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, the Georgia election workers defamed by Rudy Giuliani, are moving to seize his multimillion-dollar properties in New York and Florida, as well as personal valuables, including three Yankees World Series rings. This legal step follows their $146 million defamation award, granted after Giuliani was found liable for spreading false election fraud claims involving the pair.

In a court filing on Friday, Freeman and Moss emphasized that Giuliani’s lack of compliance with previous court orders necessitates this pursuit of assets. Among the items sought are his Madison Avenue apartment, valued at $5.7 million, and his Palm Beach condo, valued at $3.5 million.

Ted Goodman, Giuliani’s spokesperson, criticized the court’s verdict as “objectively unreasonable,” contending that Freeman and Moss’s actions are meant to “harass and intimidate” Giuliani. However, the plaintiffs argue their requests are justified given the defamation case’s impact on their lives, including threats that forced them to leave their jobs and homes.

Freeman and Moss have also requested the court to designate them as receivers, granting them authority to seize additional items of value. Their filing details specific assets, including Giuliani’s 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL500, his collection of luxury watches, a signed Reggie Jackson photo, a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey, and other memorabilia from his tenure as New York City’s mayor.

Additionally, the defamed election workers are seeking to claim $2 million in unpaid legal fees Giuliani claims he is owed by Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee. These fees relate to Giuliani’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results, actions that ultimately led to his disbarment in New York.

Giuliani’s remaining assets, including a diamond ring and an array of cash accounts, could also be subject to seizure should the court approve Freeman and Moss’s latest request for compensation.
