Democratic Congressman Accuses GOP’s Jim Jordan of Treason Amid January 6 Fallout

Rep. Ruben Gallego Labels Jim Jordan a “Traitor” Over Text Messages Linked to January 6 Events

Rep. Ruben Gallego of Arizona accused Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of treason on Wednesday, amidst the ongoing fallout from text messages exchanged between members of Congress, including those aligned with former President Donald Trump, surrounding the January 6 Capitol riot.

In an interview on MSNBC’s Last Word, Gallego sharply criticized Jordan, saying, “He’s a traitor to the Constitution of the United States,” and added that this had been evident for some time, but the text messages now provided further proof. Gallego’s comments came as the contents of the texts continue to be scrutinized in the investigation into the events of January 6.
