Formula One Announces Pre-Season Testing Dates with Limited Fan Access

Testing Begins in Spain and Bahrain, but Fans Left Disappointed as Barcelona Session Goes Behind Closed Doors

Formula One has revealed the dates for its pre-season testing ahead of the 2022 season, with two sessions set to take place in February and March, one in Spain and another in Bahrain. However, fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the new generation of cars will be disappointed, as Formula One has confirmed there will be no TV coverage or fan attendance during the first testing weekend at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The 2022 season marks a significant shift in Formula One, with the most radical regulation changes since 2014. While the Barcelona session will be the first opportunity for teams to test the new machinery, it will be a private event, limiting access for fans and broadcasters alike.
