James Corden has posted a thought-provoking message on Instagram following claims that David Beckham once played mediator in a disagreement between him and Prince Harry.
The incident reportedly occurred in December 2011, during a night out at the Arts Club in London. According to The Mail, Prince Harry, then 40, allegedly made a comment about Corden’s appearance, sparking anger from the comedian. Corden, 46, had just finished performing in One Man, Two Guvnors and joined the group, which included Beckham, who was England’s football captain at the time.
A source detailed how the situation escalated, saying: “James was furious about Harry’s joke, which he didn’t find funny at all. It created quite a scene.” Beckham, known for his calm demeanour, reportedly stepped in to diffuse the tension. “David reassured James that no harm was intended and helped smooth things over,” the source added.
Hours after these claims emerged, Corden shared an inspiring post featuring a message from British illustrator Charlie Mackesy. Despite the tense exchange, the two eventually reconciled, with some reports suggesting that the incident sparked a closer friendship. In 2021, Prince Harry appeared on Corden’s Late Late Show, where the pair shared laughs and performed the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme together.
