Victoria Station and Tube Lines Disrupted as Heavy Rain Causes Chaos
Flash flooding has hit parts of London as thunderstorms deliver heavy rain to the country’s drought-stricken areas. Victoria Station was partially flooded, and several tube stations had to close due to runoff from the torrential downpours. Commuters faced deep water pools on roads during the evening rush hour, with footage capturing the chaos across the capital. The Met Office issued yellow and amber weather warnings for thunderstorms in southeast England and south Wales. Forecaster Dan Suri explained that drought conditions had left soils hard and unable to absorb the rain, resulting in flash floods.
