Max Verstappen’s Legendary F1 Title Win Hailed by Teammate Sergio Perez

Verstappen’s 2021 World Championship Success and Perez’s Role in the Victory

Max Verstappen’s 2021 Formula 1 World Championship victory has been described as “legendary” by his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez. Verstappen clinched his first Drivers’ Championship in a dramatic final race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where he overtook seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in the last laps, aided by a controversial decision from race director Michael Masi.

Perez, who played a crucial role in Verstappen’s victory by holding up Hamilton during the race, expressed his admiration for his teammate’s achievement. Despite a mixed season for Perez, which included a win in Azerbaijan after both title contenders faced difficulties, he is focused on improving in 2022 while acknowledging Verstappen’s remarkable accomplishment.
