Global Research Unveils the Vast Unexplored Diversity of Trees and Highlights Environmental Risks
A groundbreaking international study has uncovered that more than 9,000 tree species remain undiscovered, bringing the total estimated number of tree species on Earth to around 73,000. This research, which involved over 100 scientists and the largest forest database ever assembled, indicates that there is still much to learn about the planet’s tree diversity.
