Rashford’s Late Brace Secures Manchester United’s Spot in League Cup Semi-Finals

United Dominates Charlton Athletic in a 3-0 Victory

Marcus Rashford continued his impressive form, scoring for the sixth consecutive match as he netted two late goals to lead Manchester United to a 3-0 victory over third-tier Charlton Athletic in the League Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday.

A significantly rotated United side had the upper hand early in the match and took the lead in the 21st minute when Brazilian forward Antony delivered a stunning strike into the far corner. Despite a strong effort from Fred, whose free kick rattled the inside of the post, United created several opportunities to extend their lead.

However, it was Rashford who sealed the game, coming off the bench to score twice late in the match, marking an eighth straight victory in all competitions for the home team. This win propelled Manchester United into the semi-finals of the tournament, further solidifying their successful run.
