Tensions Rise as England Fans Gather for Euro 2020 Final

Scenes of Chaos Erupt in London Ahead of Wembley Showdown

As England gears up for the Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley, tens of thousands of passionate fans have flocked to London, leading to chaotic scenes in the city. In Leicester Square, some supporters were seen smashing windows and igniting flares, creating a vibrant yet tense atmosphere.

Major squares in the West End were filled with revelers armed with alcohol, with some climbing lamp-posts and bus shelters in their excitement. The situation escalated at King’s Cross station, which was temporarily evacuated due to smoke rising from flares. Near Wembley, fans were spotted atop a bus, further contributing to the raucous energy.

The Metropolitan Police responded to the escalating situation by urging fans to prioritize safety and look out for one another. They warned that reckless behavior, such as jumping off street lamps or hoardings, could lead to serious injuries.
