Tite Confident Neymar Will Return to World Cup Despite Injury

Brazil Manager Criticizes Excessive Fouling as Neymar and Danilo Miss Switzerland Game

Brazil’s head coach, Tite, expressed confidence that Neymar will return to the World Cup despite suffering an ankle injury during Brazil’s 2-0 win over Serbia in their Group G opener. Neymar limped off the pitch late in the match, sparking concern over his participation in the tournament.

On Friday, Brazil’s team doctor confirmed that Neymar, along with defender Danilo, would miss Monday’s crucial clash against Switzerland due to their respective ankle issues. However, Tite remains optimistic about Neymar’s recovery and future involvement.

In addition to discussing the injury setbacks, Tite also addressed the issue of excessive fouling in the tournament, stressing the need for stricter enforcement to protect players. He called for an end to the “rough treatment” that players, particularly Neymar, have been subjected to on the field.
