Tragedy Strikes in Tasmania as Bouncy Castle Lifted by Strong Winds, Killing Five Children

Five Children Dead and Five Others Injured After Freak Accident at Primary School

A devastating accident in Tasmania has claimed the lives of five children and left five others seriously injured after a bouncy castle was blown into the air by strong winds during an end-of-year celebration at Hillcrest Primary School in Devonport. The children, all in fifth and sixth grades, were playing on the bouncy castle during their final day of school when a sudden gust of wind caused the inflatable to lift into the air. The children fell from a height of approximately 10 meters.

Emergency services, including two helicopters, quickly arrived at the scene to transport the injured to the hospital. The incident has left the local community in shock, with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison calling the accident “unthinkably heartbreaking” and offering support to local authorities.
