Young Student Tells President Biden to “Get Back to Work” During School Visit

Biden Campaigns for Social Spending Plans, Including Universal Preschool Expansion

President Joe Biden was playfully interrupted by a preschooler who told him to “get back to work” during his visit to East End Elementary School in North Plainfield, New Jersey. The visit was part of Biden’s push to promote his social spending and infrastructure plans, which are currently being debated within the Democratic Party as they try to reach a consensus on a spending package that can pass Congress.

Biden highlighted one of the key proposals, which aims to establish universal preschool in the United States. Speaking to the teachers, he noted that many children would eventually go on to college thanks to the efforts of educators like them.

Currently, all four-year-olds in North Plainfield’s school district have access to free preschool, but the Biden administration’s plan seeks to expand this access to include all three-year-olds across the country.
