Family Continues to Search for Answers After 27 Years
On May 18, 1996, Bob Dale, a 33-year-old father of three, vanished without a trace after attending a wedding in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. That evening, Bob and his wife, Kristi, went out for drinks downtown after the wedding, but by the end of the night, Bob was nowhere to be found.
His disappearance remains a mystery to this day, with his family still desperately searching for answers. Despite the passage of 27 years, Bob’s family holds onto the hope that they will one day uncover what happened to him that night.
Bob grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, where he shared a close bond with his three brothers: Steven, Scott, and Rich. The family lived a typical suburban life, filled with outdoor activities like hockey, football, and fishing. Bob was particularly drawn to the outdoors, with his brother Scott describing him as the “woodsman” of the family.
The Dale brothers shared many adventures in their youth, and one that stands out is a fishing trip they took together in early 1996.
