Sainz edges out Leclerc after dramatic safety car restart; Zhou survives crash, protesters disrupt race

Carlos Sainz celebrated his first-ever Formula One victory at a dramatic British Grand Prix in Silverstone, an event marked by high-stakes racing, a terrifying crash, and a track invasion by protesters. Zhou Guanyu endured a frightening opening-lap accident but thankfully emerged unharmed, while the race saw interruptions that culminated in an intense final battle.

Following a safety car restart, Sainz surged past his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc in a thrilling 10-lap duel to secure the win. Sergio Perez claimed second place, with Lewis Hamilton rounding out the podium after overtaking Leclerc with just four laps remaining in the 52-lap race.
