Dylan Groenewegen Triumphs in Tour de France Stage 3, Securing First Win Since 2019

Groenewegen edges out top contenders in a thrilling sprint finish in Denmark

Dylan Groenewegen claimed victory in Stage 3 of the Tour de France in Sønderborg, Denmark, marking his return to the winner’s podium after a harrowing crash two years ago. Just a day after Fabio Jakobsen’s triumphant comeback, Groenewegen showcased his resilience by narrowly defeating Wout van Aert, Jasper Philipsen, and Peter Sagan in a nail-biting sprint finish.

The 182km stage, the final segment of this year’s Danish Grand Depart, began in Vejle and concluded with mere millimeters separating the top competitors. Groenewegen expertly positioned himself, advancing past Sagan and Van Aert in the final moments to secure his fifth career stage win in the Tour de France—his first since 2019.
