Emma Raducanu Returns Home After Historic US Open Victory

18-Year-Old Champion Relishes Time to Unwind in Bromley

Emma Raducanu has returned to her home in Bromley, Kent, to enjoy the excitement following her remarkable US Open victory. The 18-year-old opted for a low-key arrival back in the UK, where she was seen alongside her father, Ian. Reflecting on her win, Raducanu shared with The Daily Telegraph the joy of being home after a seven-week stint abroad, saying, “It’s a great feeling to be back home… I’m just enjoying it and relaxing and recovering.”

Her historic achievement as the first qualifier to claim a Grand Slam title—and the first British woman to do so since Virginia Wade 44 years ago—has made her a national sensation. For now, Raducanu is focused on taking a break before considering her next steps in tennis.
