Three Killed, One Critical Following River Cleddau Tragedy in West Wales
Morgan Rogers, 24, described by her family as having a “beautiful, kind, and loving soul,” was one of three victims who lost their lives in a paddleboarding accident on the River Cleddau in Haverfordwest, Wales. Rogers, a deputy store manager from Cefin Coed, Merthyr Tydfil, was part of a group of nine who had set out for a weekend exploration of the river. The tragic accident on Saturday claimed the lives of Rogers, Nicola Wheatley, 40, from Pontardulais, Swansea, and Paul O’Dwyer, 42, from Sandfields, Port Talbot.
Another woman remains hospitalized in critical condition, while five other individuals were rescued by emergency services without injury. Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating the accident, which has left a community grieving and searching for answers.
