Hamilton Triumphs in Brazilian Grand Prix, Cuts Verstappen’s Lead to 14 Points

A remarkable comeback from 10th to victory allows Hamilton to narrow the gap in the F1 championship race.

Lewis Hamilton claimed victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix, overcoming a challenging start to move from 10th on the grid and outpace Max Verstappen, reducing the championship gap to just 14 points.

After a technical issue during qualifying in Sao Paulo, Hamilton was disqualified and relegated to the back of the sprint race. His pole position was invalidated, and he faced a five-place grid penalty for using his fifth power unit of the season, exceeding the allowed limit of three. Despite this, Hamilton showcased his skill by finishing fifth in the sprint race.

On race day, the defending champion made an impressive climb through the ranks. From 10th, Hamilton quickly ascended to second place, engaging in a fierce battle with Verstappen. After a tense moment when Verstappen forced Hamilton off the track, the Briton successfully passed the Dutch driver on Lap 59 of 71. Hamilton held onto the lead until the end, clinching the win in Sao Paulo. Verstappen finished in second, and Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas, who started from pole, completed the podium.
