Highlights from the 2022 National Television Awards: Drama, Hosts, and Surprises

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield Miss Out as Other Stars Shine

The National Television Awards 2022 took place on Thursday, October 13, with ITV broadcasting the highly anticipated ceremony. While many of the usual favorites were nominated, there were a few surprises. Peaky Blinders, Heartstopper, and Bridgerton led the charge with multiple nominations, celebrating both their shows and standout performances from stars like Cillian Murphy, Kit Connor, and Joe Locke.

Despite their longstanding popularity, This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were notably absent from the list of nominees for the TV Presenter category. In their place, Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Graham Norton, and the beloved duo Ant and Dec (who won their 20th consecutive award last year) were among the contenders.
