Londonderry’s Halloween Parade Returns After Three-Year Hiatus

Thousands Attend Spooky Spectacle Despite Heavy Rain

Londonderry’s much-anticipated Halloween carnival parade made its triumphant return on Monday evening after a three-year break due to Covid-19 restrictions. Thousands of people lined the streets to witness the spooky spectacle, marking the grand finale of the city’s renowned Halloween festival, known as the largest of its kind in Europe.

Although the parade was canceled in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic, the tradition was revived this year, drawing crowds of all ages who braved heavy rain to enjoy the festivities. Despite the wet weather, the spirits of spectators remained high as they gathered beneath umbrellas to celebrate the eerie occasion.
