Sweet Super Strawberry Moon to Shine Bright on Tuesday Morning

Early risers in the Americas can witness the Super Strawberry Moon, a rare celestial event, on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday morning, skywatchers in the Americas will be treated to the vibrant Super Strawberry Moon, which will rise about eight degrees above the horizon in the southwestern sky at 7:52 am EDT (11:52 am GMT). This full moon, also known as the Mead or Honey Moon, marks the second of two supermoons in 2022.

A supermoon occurs when the full moon aligns with the moon’s closest approach to Earth, known as perigee, bringing it within 90% of its nearest point. On the same morning, the Sun will make its earliest appearance of the year at 5:42 am EDT, adding a golden touch to the celestial spectacle.
