Travis Scott’s Counseling Hotline Mistakenly Redirects to Wrong Agency

Rapper Corrects Error After Fans Are Directed to Federal Agency Instead of Mental Health Service

Travis Scott, in his efforts to assist survivors of the deadly crowd surge at his Astroworld festival, promised to support those affected by offering counseling resources. The rapper shared a hotline for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) via his Instagram, aiming to connect individuals with professional help.

However, the hotline posted was mistakenly redirected to a federal agency, where callers were asked irrelevant questions about social security and grocery rewards programs, rather than receiving the intended mental health support. The error was highlighted by BuzzFeed, which prompted Scott’s media team to address the issue.

Within hours, Scott’s Instagram, which has 43.9 million followers, was updated with the correct NAMI hotline information. The mistake has raised questions about the rapper’s oversight in ensuring proper support for his fans following the tragedy.
