UK Government Moves to Designate The Base as a Terrorist Group

Action Taken Against US-Based Neo-Nazi Organization

The British government is set to classify the US-based white supremacist organization known as The Base as a terrorist entity. Established in 2018, this neo-Nazi group has been actively recruiting armed militants to orchestrate terror attacks and incite a “race war.”

According to the Home Office, The Base aligns closely in ideology and mission with the Atomwaffen Division, which was banned earlier this year. Home Secretary Priti Patel stated, “We continue to take robust action against evil white supremacist groups, who target vulnerable individuals globally to draw them into their hateful ideologies and their vile promotion of violence.”

Patel expressed her commitment to complicating the operations of such organizations within the UK, emphasizing the importance of banning them and enhancing penalties for those who support or join these groups to safeguard public safety and national security.
